Handshape Poses for Hivewire's Dawn. These are the handshapes used by British Sign Language. There are 57 handshapes in 22 Families for each hand as per the British Sign Language Dictionary. There are 3 additional handshapes that are also used today plus one reset to set the Carpal, Thumb and Fingers back to zero. They are all partial poses and only affect the carples, finger and thumb rotations. This means that you can use these to change the characters hand without upsetting the rest of your pose. Very useful in animation not just for signing but at other times to give your characters more realistic motion. 39 of the handshapes work within Dawns Limits, however there are 22 that require the Thumb1 rotation limits to be off. This is because the thumb1 rotation is very limited especially on Bend.
