The Hanging Gardens of Nimrud

The Hanging Gardens of Nimrud is inspired by the epic architecture of an ancient Assyrian city. This set contains multiple models that can be used in it's preset (a market and temple complex) or building a city of your own using the construction kit walls, arches, tower and market stalls.

In order to create an epic scene, one needs epic architecture. Architecture that dwarfs and towers above figures. Architecture that inspires awe. The Hanging Gardens of Nimrud is such a place. An ancient Assyrian city found on the left bank of the river Tigris in Northern Mesopotamia built in the 13th century BC and stood for a thousand years. In it's heyday in was home to 100,000 inhabitants and contained botanic gardens and a zoological garden. In ancient times the city was called Kalbu (also known as the biblical city of Calah). The city got it's more modern name, Nimrud, after the Biblical Nimrod, a legendary hunting hero.
