The long hard winter has always been a popular theme in the fantasy genre. A period of lack of resources, difficult living conditions and an uncertain future was always associated with the arrival of evil and dark forces or unknown magic. The beginnings of this cultural phenomenon lie in human history itself, when the common people fought for bare survival and hoped for the arrival of spring as better times. After all, even in Norse mythology, such an unfavorable period appears as fimbulwinter, harsh winter that precedes the end of the world and puts an end to all life on Earth. Fimbulvinter is three successive winters, when snow comes in from all directions, without any intervening summer.
So today we will see who benefits the most from these unfavorable conditions. We will visit the castles and manors of the ice queens, the houses of Fathers Frost we will go through endless ice tunnels in the glacier and get to inaccessible frosty places, which do not support any living thing.
