In Hawaiian, Aboriginal and Native American cultures, crows and ravens are believed to be embodiments of ancestor’s spirits or sometimes “The Trickster”; a deity that breaks the rules of the gods or nature, sometimes maliciously but usually with ultimately positive effects. The collective name for a group of crows is a “murder of crows.
