William Kidd

William Kidd was a seventeenth century Scottish pirate who terrorized the North American coast, the Caribbean, and the Indian Ocean. Kidd was hired as a privateer to attack French shipping, with 10% of the profits of his legalized pirate activities going to the British Crown. Kidd turned from his assigned duties as a privateer and attacked a British trading vessel, whereupon his status changed from privateer to pirate. Kidd was eventually arrested and tried as a pirate, and was hanged for piracy and murder in London in 1701. But you can bring him back to life in your renders.
