Tired of juggling hundreds of small hinged rings every time you need to put on a chain? No more!
Say goodbye to deformed metal rings!
With this innovative system you simulate in dForce using an optimized (proxy) geometry with few points (fast), then after activating the script what you see is a beautiful and detailed chain, built by hundreds of small rings (instances) placed in sequence, making efficient use of your computer resources!
Model mesh point counts: around 1300 points (proxy geometry), 36 points (chain part for instances).
IMPORTANT! this garment requires dForce. It is NOT rigged to the Genesis figure.
Also, leave this at scene root. Do not parent it to the Genesis figure, as DS may apply weird offsets.
***The included script requires Daz Studio version "4.22.0.15" or newer, otherwise it won't work.***

- Prop as scene asset, designed for the base pose/morph of the following figures: Genesis 8 and 8.1 (Male and Female), Genesis 9 (Base);
- [NEW] Innovative solution for the chains problem: a script that automatically replaces the proxy geometry with hundreds of small part instances in realtime in the viewport;
- 8 Iray material presets for the chain parts;
- UV map template for the chain parts, just in case you want to customize it.
Please note: it is recommended to use this at its original scale (100%), resizing it will not change the number of rings in the chain, the script will resize each one and approximate, which may not match exactly the proxy.
Product made with Daz Studio 4.22 on Windows 10. Not tested on Mac!
