This volume of 3D kitchen models contains two very high resolution kitchens, in *.fbx file format, to serve as backgrounds for making domestic scenes of people and furniture. The interiors of the kitchens are designed to host your human characters and furniture, posed as you like, with your lighting arrangements.
The kitchen backgrounds are made with an unusually long depth to to allow for good camera views of the interiors. The depth and the width of these models allow for a wide variety of camera placements, angles and focal lengths. These kitchens are made with high dynamic range image ("HDRI") lighting in mind - an illustrated document is included that briefly explains HDRI lighting and shows ways to light the interiors using various free HDR images to achieve different kinds of effects visual effects.
The first kitchen is part of a semi-modern, light-colored alpine chalet with hand plastered walls, overhead beams and wood paneling. An alcove hosts maple kitchen cabinets, a bronze sink and faucet, and a marble countertop. Shelves hold porcelain plates, bowls and wine glasses. Dish drying towels hang from wooden pegs on one wall. In the main room, there is a maple chest beneath the windows on the right wall. A Euro-style maple regrigerator unit and spice cabinet occupy part of the center wall. The spice cabinet holds high resolution jars of spices and dry goods such as olives, sugar and dried corn chips.
Because this is a "background," these items are fixed into place - they are not independent objects. For Kitchen #1, the only independent object is a comfortable wooden chair. This independent chair can be moved around the room as desired, re-scaled in size and given any wooden texture desired
Overhead skylights on both sides of the roof that can be opened or closed, depending on the kind of lighting you want for your renders.
The second kitchen is an old log cabin with battered steel sink and old hand water pump, cast iron cookware, ceramic fermentation jars, and spice jars on its shelves. Three jars of food sit on the windows sill. An old jacket hangs above a stack of firewood, a basket of kindling and an axe. A moveable wooden hutch with various items on its shelves sits along the back wall. The room has five glass chimney lanterns on the walls, with one extra for any wall if needed.
Kitchen #2 has many more independent objects that you can move around as desired. These include the axe, kindling basket, firewood pile, enameled coffee pot and cup, glass chimney lanterns, the wooden hutch, and some small items in the hutch (bowl and wooden rolling pin).
All items are very high resolution models. These kitchen models are in *.fbx file format. They are currently scaled relatively large and to fit Poser and Daz figures. Full suites of PBR texture sets are included to enhance the models for some rendering engines.
