Quercus Oculus - Creepy Trees With Eyes

If you go down to the woods today............. you may well feel like someone or something is watching you!

In this case, the trees literally do have eyes...... lots of them, growing out of the bark and watching for the unwary digital artist to stumble into their field of vision!

This great bundle of ten creepy Quercus Oculus (a mythical oak species) which is semi-sentient and has eyes growing from its branches and trunks - comes in Five different shapes each of which comes in a spring and fall set of foliage. Added to that there are lots of variations of eye color and even the ability to make those creepy peepers glow in the dark!

As always a little goes a long way, and small variations in these low -medium resolution tree models (meant for mid to distant placement rather than close up) in the y rotation values and scale values will make one plant and its instances - as its a relatively low-resolution model they will work in instancing though don't go mad! Once you have added your model you can alter its appearance by selecting one of the two different foliage options and changing the color of its eyes in smart content or your content library.

Handy Tip: If your eyes are not showing up as you like add one of the glowing materials to them, and they will pop, even in bright sunlight, make it dark and cast an eerie glow!

So plant a creepy tree to guard your hoard, or decorate a witches garden, populate a path with lines of glowing eyes, and give your creepy critters somewhere to roost!
