Red Guardian is a fictional superhero character from Marvel Comics, known as the Russian counterpart to Captain America and now protagonist of new MCU movie: Thunderbolts*.
His real name is Alexei Shostakov, and he is a super-soldier with enhanced strength, agility, and durability. Originally a Soviet operative, he was trained to be a patriotic hero and often fights to protect Russia's interests.
Red Guardian has appeared also in various Marvel stories and movies, including the "Black Widow" film, where he is portrayed as a formidable and loyal hero with a strong sense of duty.
