This is a special power supply that is suitable for heavy transmitting equipment that requires a lot of ampere. I myself use something like that for my transmitting equipment that has 3 transmitters connected to it. There are 2 different power supplies for these applications and that is a switched power supply that is comparable to the one in a computer and the traditional transformer with a stabilized voltage circuit.
