Notes: This plant is It is recognized as one of the earliest known tree-like plants that contributed significantly to the formation of forests and the alteration of terrestrial ecosystems in its time. Standing 8m or more tall, it resembled unrelated modern tree fern or horsetails. It had fronds rather than leaves, and they reproduced with spores.
