Based on the Orvis 1856 Bamboo Fly Rod ($3298.00 retail, reel not included!), Fly Fishing Gear comes with a fully-rigged 8' rod in Bamboo Burlwood or Zebrano Mahogany, Anodized Aluminum and Carbon Nickel reels, a morphing fly line, 2 hooks and 6 flies in 2 variations each, and 2 fly boxes to store them in. And as an added bonus, we'll even throw in a sturdy canvas rod and reel case with a fully functional zipper!
The reel spins, the rod bends, and the 502-bone fly line comes with a nearly infinite range of movement possibilities. Rigged and morphed in sections for ease of posing, the fly line includes preset dials for S-curves, waves, and wide-arcing casts, as well as free line dangling morphs for fine hand-fed tension control. The line follows through the eye hooks accurately as the rod bends for realistic angling action.
Wet and dry flies include the classic Adams Dry Fly, Parachute Adams, Pheasant Tail Nymph, Blue Winged Olive, Mayfly Nymph, and the brilliant Wooly Bugger! Each fly can be tied either to a broad straight hook or a narrow curved hook in 4 metal options and features fiber-mesh hair, displacement body fur, and transparency and translucency for realistic wings. There are even a few metal beads for added attraction.
Each fly box comes in 3 material options, and 2 filled fly box presets are included for quick and ready setup. Two pre-rigged rod and reel combinations are provided, along with a separate reel, rigged rod, and 3-piece breakdown rod for a wide variety of visual options.
All of the flies are built oversized for better visibility in renders, while the monofilament fly line is extra thick and comes in 4 color choices, which can be applied independently to the tippet, leader, cast line, backing, and runout spool. HINT: Add a dash of Emission Color to make the line stand out even more!
