The McKenzie Brothers

The McKenzie Brothers

Two Brothers. One, a slick, unsavory salesbeaver by the name of "Don't call me Barti!" Bartholomew. The other, a country yokel, a hard-working lumberbeaver dreaming to be a girlie... Berti. Similar and yet as different as day and night. They come with a pair of coveralls and the matching textures for their personalities, overall body fur, a toupee, two hats - one for lumberjacking the other for selling used Christmas trees. Also included are three pine trees, one pine tree with Christmas lights, a tree so chewed that it has fallen over. ("An accident! That's all! An accident!") Also included is a camper for the Brothers McKenzie to live in, and two For Sale signs.
The brothers are fully rigged figures for Poser and Daz Studio.

The Misfired Chop of McKenzie Brothers’ Christmas

There once were two beavers famed far and wide,
Bartholomew, known for his sharp-plaid pride.
“Don’t call me Barthi!” he’d firmly insist,
A salesman with charm that could hardly resist—
Yet shadows would creep where bright joy should abide.

His brother was Berti, a lumberjack’s kin,
“A girlie,” he wished to be, like Papa akin.
A mind oft astray, or so Barthi declared,
His teeth could fell forests with perilous care—
But calm wasn’t found beneath winter’s dim grin.

Each Christmas they labored with used-trimmed trees,
Decked in fine baubles and old memories.
Barthi in suits cut from neat plaid design,
Berti with axes by starlit pine—
Two souls hemmed within yuletide decrees.

On one frantic eve midst the snowflakes’ dance,
Berti mistook fate for a careless chance.
An ornament glimmered—a prize none could see—
He bit through the boughs unexpectedly—
And down came a tree from their fragile expanse.

Barthi exclaimed with a sigh full of ache,
“Your teeth meant for work not a criminal break!”
Regret clung like ivy on brittle bark’s veil,
Their profits now ghosted, the cause of travail—
A brotherly bond strained beyond remake.

The plaza went quiet; their fortunes did wane,
As echoes of loss sang through frost-bitten rain.
Berti stood silent amidst broken pine gifts,
Bartholomew’s heart bore remorse’s sharp rifts—
Two brothers entangled in sorrow’s domain.

So mournful they walked ‘neath the wintry street light,
Haunted by moments that sank into night.
A beaver in plaid and a rogue with dull teeth—
Together they learned what regret underneath—
Could shatter bright dreams in one fleeting bite.
