Mixamo Bridge G9 — Free Daz Studio Tool
Use Mixamo animations on Genesis 9 figures.
This free tool prepares your Genesis 9 as a carrier Mixamo can accept,
you run any Mixamo animation through it, and the tool transfers the
result back onto a Genesis 9 — exactly, frame by frame, including the
root motion. The final animation saves as a normal Pose Preset that
works on any Genesis 9 character.
Works in Daz Studio 4.22+ and Daz Studio 6. Tested in both.
Genesis 9 is unified — so ONE uploaded carrier serves every G9
character and every animation you will ever grab. After the first
upload, new animations are just: pick, download, import, one button.
WHAT YOU NEED
- Genesis 9 Starter Essentials
- A free Mixamo account (mixamo.com)
HOW IT WORKS
1. Unzip into your Daz content library — the tool appears under
Scripts > Mixamo Bridge G9 in the Content Library
2. Load a Genesis 9 and run the tool — buttons 1 and 2 prepare and
export the carrier FBX
3. Upload the FBX to mixamo.com, apply any animation, download as
FBX BINARY, With Skin, no keyframe reduction
(you WILL see floating eyes and a mouth on the Mixamo preview —
this is normal and does not affect the result)
4. In Daz: File > Import the FBX (check "Include Animation",
dropdown: mixamo.com)
5. Button 3: Transfer to G9 — done
6. Save the animation from the G9 as a Pose Preset (Animated Range).
That preset now works on any Genesis 9 character.
