Minutes before approaching the peaks of Mount Ogden Blue piloting us for quick weekend getaway/work research something caused interference with the chopper. At 9400 feet we couldn t hover to look for safe landing so Blue was dropping altitude as safely as possible when the same signal causing our distress came garbled over our radio in a language I didn t catch. Blue however did outing on auto pilot and reaching behind him pulling a parachute pack, survival pack and simultaneously in doing my seat belt instructing me quick to strap all on then from his brief case he removed a thick file taped in red and put it into the survivor back pack then hooked over my arm. Pulling a fire arm from someplace behind me and securing this to my being as well I was becoming confused when Blue delivered with urgency a passionate kiss and then saying to me don t stop running till your off this mountain " go to the person who was my roommate in college (shhhh don t say the name) at HAFB, don t speak with anyone else I will catch up to you when I can then as the alarms are blaring from every device and the engine is threatening to stall we share one more kiss and Blue pushes me away from him and then I m looking up as I descend from almost 9k feet.
With 3 million questions fighting for answers inside my head the only clear thought I could hold onto as I landed on the ground somewhat precariously was Blues last words and knowing he never says anything he can t back up and he doesn t ever tell me to do anything he asks me. So I m almost auto mode I swapped out parachute pack for the survivor pack knowing it s contents since it s really my camping pack I jokingly call my survivor and fall out bag. Then I recalled Blue putting something inside it and immediately I unzipped and pulled a heavy file that seemed to have been caught up on something, but finally yanking it free a glowing iridescent blue light inside my pack made me pause. Looking inside I decided it was time to make my way down and off this mountain and I could read the file when I had to stop and make camp. Securing the pack and rifle over my shoulder taking a quick drink from my water container ,then one last look around me as I make my way back to Blue. What I want now is to find Blue waiting where he said he will be and there s nothing on this mountain no animal, human or even death will keep me from getting to HAFB and back to him.
