Cytro, also known as C.Y.T.R.O. (Cybernetic Tactical Robot Operative), is a battle android created by Dr. Grigor Rendel with the original intent to destroy Max Steel.
However, due to the internal clock of Cytro's CPU being reset by Max's energy, his programming was altered, forcing him to protect Max Steel instead of destroying him.
Despite his original purpose, Cytro develops a complex personality, learning to make independent decisions and exhibiting a sense of humor, which Max describes as making him more human than many people.
