R-9 BOX Station

R-9 BOX Station

Classification: Rapid Deployment Habitat Module
Designation: SHU-01

The first structure to arrive at a new colony site is rarely a building.

It is usually a Starlift Habitat Unit.

Designed for transport by War Hawk heavy-lift drones, these modular habitats are delivered fully assembled and operational. Upon deployment, the unit unfolds into a pressurized living and working environment capable of supporting astronauts immediately after landing.

Each module contains environmental controls, power storage systems, communications equipment, emergency medical supplies, sleeping quarters, and cargo storage areas. The reinforced shell protects occupants from radiation, dust storms, and extreme temperature fluctuations common on newly settled worlds.

The modules can operate independently or connect together to form larger colony complexes. As settlements expand, dozens of units are combined into research stations, command centers, workshops, and permanent residential districts.

Every major R-9 colony began with a small cluster of Starlift Units placed beneath the first atmospheric dome.

Colonists know them simply as:

"The First Rooms."

"Before there is a city, there is a module."
