Colony Medical Bay

Colony Medical Bay

Soon after I published my second or third "Colony" model, you started to ask for Medical Bay module. All this time I had that in mind, but didn't know how to realize it in best way. Finally, I came up with this design:

Admission module is basic structure, hexagonal building with entrance door compatible with previous "Colony" structures on one side and 5 empty 'slots' for different medical units. Module is equipped with admission desk and chairs (can be removed to get large empty area).

Medical units - 5 in total. You can place them in any order, all different or same. Posing units is very simple; after loading just select 'base' part of medical unit and rotate it by 60 degrees (Poser version use 60 degrees snap angle, little bit sensitive to pose by slider). Basically, rotation by -120 degrees place medical unit in slot 1, -60 in slot 2, 0 (default) in slot 3, 60 degrees in slot 4 and 120 in slot 5.

Five different medical units are included, each one with adjustable elements:

- Unit A - revitalizing tanks, with open/close door option

- Unit B - Robosurge - two robotic arms, each with 7 moving parts, can perform surgical interventions on any part of character's body. Furthermore, you can move up/down any of 16 bed parts, adjusting it to patient's body pose. By hiding unit's walls you can pose camera on any location.

- Unit C - diagnostic room - with moving scanner ring and scanner head, also move/hide desk and chair or walls.

- Unit D - recovery room - with 2 beds (slide bed, adjust seat, backrest and legs rest option). Hide video wall or room walls.

- Unit E - cryogenic pods - open/close two-segment doors on pods, hide walls option

Beside all this, I included 8 simple props of futuristic medical tools and equipment:

- Stretchers (actually, not so futuristic)
- Datapad
- Medical Kit case
- Cauterizer
- Hand held deep tissue scanner
- Injektor
- Left hand defibrilator
- Right hand defibrilator

Poser users can choose between Firefly and Superfly materials for each element. Daz studio version use only Nvidia Iray materials.

This structure is fully compatible with my previous 'Colony' and 'Bubble Habitat' releases, or it can be used as stand-alone
