The US Army Air Forces contracted Curtiss Aircraft for three prototype fighter aircraft in 1942. The unconventional pusher-powered design with highly swept-back wings and a nose-mounted elevator experienced low-speed instability problems and was ultimately unsuccessful. The XP-55 3D model is a fully-rigged Poser figure, sized for Poser people. Designed for Poser, it is compatible with DAZ Studio.

FIGURE
The XP-55 figure has ERC controls at the Body level that, among other things:
- Move the control surfaces coordinated with the pilot controls
- Raise the landing gear
- Open the canopy
