Summer Stroll 1

Summer, nice time for a walk on a tree-shaded lane. Or in this case, a trail made from an old railroad right-of-way. Sometimes these trails are busy with people everywhere. Walkers, runners, bicycles, horses. Sometimes, I'm the only person out there. Then there was the day when one bicyclist rode up all excited and told us he'd seen a mountain lion on the trail just a quarter mile back. And after dark, I sometimes hear motorized vehicles up there, or noise of some unauthorized party going on. (Part of one of these trails is only a couple hundred yards behind my house.)
