PD Howler 2024 is software for digital painting and visual effects on PC running on Windows 10 or 11.
Powered by Project Dogwaffle (PD), it includes tools for frame-by-frame animation, video editing, 3D landscape generation, and other 3D-related tools such as a viewer for OBJ files with physics based rendering options and material editing.
As it is originally a paint program, there are numerous types of brushes, including particle brushes, and custom image-based brushes. You can load animations into the brush too, and paint with it on images or other animations. You can also use brushes as skies in 3D landscape rendering, including animbrushes for animated skies.
