This Pirate Snub-fighter (R-41A Starchaser) Sci-fi Vehicle Set is set up specifically for use with DAZ Studio and therefore includes texture files and is fully UV unwrapped, but also has specific DAZ3D files that support use in their engine. This model is intended for use in CGI movies or art projects, and as such may prove a little high poly for in game engine use except when a game engine is being used to facilitate virtual film making, so I wouldn't consider it to be game ready. The asset also includes animated parts and elements, including engine glows, animated landing gear and opening canopy. All these features are available to control with ease via sliders linked to DAZ Studio's Pose Controls system. Also included is a Pose file that will configure any DAZ Studio character to the seated pilot pose seen in some of the promotional renders including a pilot figure.
Additionally what makes the DAZ3D format so desirable, is the fact that once in DAZ Studio you will be able to use the DAZ Bridges facility to export the model easily into Unreal Engine, or even into other 3D packages, if supported, giving many flexible options for the end user.
This spacecraft model design was inspired by the Pirate Starfighters that have recently appeared in a well known Sci-Fi franchise's TV show. I have created the most accurate representation of this vehicle possible given the limited reference available at the time, that being primarily screen grabs from the show, and the concept art featured in the show's end credits. As such, this model may not be entirely accurate to the screen used asset, and creative license has been used where reference for an area just isn't available. However it is still most likely the most accurate model of this vehicle currently around, especially with the new additional detailing of the interior, and painstaking efforts have been made to make this model as accurate as possible. But at the end of the day, this is my interpretation of this ship.
This DAZ3D package includes:
Two DAZ3D Duf files, two, (Starchaser & Starchaser_Red) which feature all you need for the ship, and slider functionality to control the animated parts of the model, these also provide you the two color schemes that we see this ship in as it appears in the show. Blue and red. Texture files and other support files are also included in appropriate folders that indicate where these must be placed in your DAZ Studio directory to operate correctly.
One Texture folder containing all the texture maps for the required PBR materials. This includes, Base color, Roughness, Metalness, Bump/Normal, Emissive, and in some cases, optional Height maps.
And last, but not least, an extensive gallery of shots of the asset so you know what you're aiming for.
I hope you enjoy, and have lots of fun with it.
