Introduction to SuperFly

"Introduction to SuperFly" is a tutorial for Poser 11. It describes the differences between the FireFly and the SuperFly render engines. It explains what to consider when creating scenes for the SuperFly renderer in regard to render settings, lighting, and materials.

The tutorial explains in detail all render settings available for SuperFly. It includes several example renders to demonstrate the most important parameters like the number of samples and bounces and how they apply to different materials.

The main part of the tutorial is about the material system of SuperFly (Cycles). It explains the basic ideas of physically-based materials and how they are achieved by Cycles nodes and shader trees. The tutorial presents all Cycles nodes and describes the different parameters with many example renders. It show how to use materials for FireFly with SuperFly and how to prevent or correct incompatibilities. Several material techniques are explained including screen shots of the shader trees.
